State Tennis: Sehome sends 5 to semifinals

The Sehome boys and girls are making their mark on the 2A state tournament. 5 Mariners have advanced to the semifinals after opening day action Friday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle. 

On the boys side, Shane Lynette, the 2017 state runner-up,  won both of his singles matches 2-0 and will play Spencer Cultic of Ridgefield Saturday in the semis. 

Michael Bornstein and William Zhang will represent Sehome in one of the doubles semifinals tomorrow. They will play Calvin Vuong  and Colby Vuong of Liberty. 

It took 3 sets in the quarterfinals, but Sehome's Isla Hall and Sydney Leiweke are on to the 2A girls semifinals. They will play Kali Wiker  and Jessica Dietzman of Sequin Saturday.
