State Golf: Sehome's Hakeman in 3rd Place after Round 1 

May 22, 2018 

Sehome's Ian Hakeman shot an opening round 71 at the 2A boys golf state championships Tuesday at the Columbia Point Golf Course in Richland. The junior is in a 3 way tie for 3rd place. He is just two shots back of the co-leaders, Dylan Apodaca of Selah and Chase Macintosh of Liberty.

In the 1A boys state tournament at Liberty Lake Golf Course in Liberty Lake Nooksack Valley's Carson Linville is your highest finisher on day 1. Linville shot a 75, good for 4th place. He is  6 strokes behind your leader John Hayes of the Bear Creek School.

The boys 3A state tournament is being played at the Creek at Qualchan course in Spokane. Ferndale's Sequayah Julius is your highest placing local golfer on day1. He;s in a tie for 48th after shooting an 82. Cameron Hulbert of Squalicum is tied for 55th after posting an 83 and Sam Cox of Ferndale is tied for 63rd after shooting an 85 on day one.
