Busy District Tourney Wednesday for NWC

A busy Wednesday of district tournament action continues for the Northwest Conference in track & field, softball, golf and tennis. Multiple Whatcom County prep teams will be busy chasing state berths.
In track & field, Ferndale and Squalicum will be at the 3A/4A district tournament at Shoreline Stadium in north Seattle today beginning at 3:00pm. Bellingham, Blaine, Lynden, Sehome and the 2A's will be at Lakewood High School at 4:30pm.
In softball, the 2A district tournament continues today at Janicki Fields in Sedro-Woolley. It's double-elimination play as Lynden opens versus Lakewood and Sehome takes on Archbishop Murphy. Both games begin at 4:00pm.
Both boys and girls golf continues today in 3A district play. The girls begin at 11:00am at the Battle Creek Public Golf Course in Marysville. The boys start at 12:00pm at the Walter Hall Golf Course in Everett.
In girls tennis, Squalicum and Ferndale are in action at Arlington High School. Play in the 3A district tournament begins at 1:00pm.
