Nationals bound Bellingham United to play exhibition fundraiser

March 15, 2018

The Bellingham United FC indoor soccer club is heading back to nationals and they're hoping to offset some of the travel expenses with a local exhibition fundraiser. The Hammers will play Lynden United on Friday, March 16th at the Bellingham Sportsplex.

The team, which won it's 3rd straight Washington Indoor Soccer League Championship last month, is heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the national tournament next week. The squad got a late invite to the Major Arena Soccer League tourney with games scheduled to be played March 23rd and 24th. BUFC came in third last year at nationals.

In an effort to raise money for the travel expenses BUFC will also be raffling a signed National Multiple Sclerosis Society jersey, and hosting a 50/50 raffle during the match.

The club has also set up a GoFundMe page for supporters to make donations.

Friday's game is scheduled for a 7:00pm start at the Bellingham Sportsplex.
