Bellingham Blazers to open WSHL playoffs at home Friday
The Bellingham Blazers will open the post season at home this weekend. Bellingham will play host to Southern Oregon at the Bellingham Sportsplex in a best-of-three series in the Northwest Division quarterfinal round of the Western States Hockey League playoffs.
Bellingham is riding momentum, having won 14 of their last 16 games. In just their second year in the league, the Blazers are looking to win their first playoff series in the WSHL
On paper the match-up looks to favor Bellingham. The Blazers finished the season with a record of 28-20-3 for 59 points. The Spartans finished at 12-38-1 with 25 points. Bellingham won five of their six matchups against Southern Oregon during the regular season.
