Prep Wrestling

After the winter weather forced the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association to cancel all of the regional wrestling tournaments this past weekend, the WIAA has released the schedule and brackets for a new 32-entry format for Mat Classic XXXI at the Tacoma Dome. Registration begins on Thursday with action scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

Friday's schedule calls for the first session (3A, 2A. & 1B/2B) between 8:30am - 2:00pm. The second session (4A, 1A, & Girls) follows from 2:00pm - 8:00pm. On Saturday the third session (all classifications) between 9:45am - 2:00pm and wrapped up with the Championship Finals (all classifications) beginning at 5:00pm.

Prep Swimming & Diving

State swimming and diving is schedule to start Friday (2/15) at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. According to the News Tribune of Tacoma that event could be impacted depending on how long the snow storm lasts.

The scheduled Great Northwest Athletic Conference men’s basketball game on Tuesday evening between Western Washington University and Simon Fraser University has been postponed due to the inclement weather in Bellingham and Burnaby, BC.

The game was scheduled for a 7 pm tip-off in West Gym on the SFU campus, but both schools canceled classes and university services on Tuesday due to the heavy accumulation of snow and adverse weather conditions in the area. The decision was made early Tuesday morning after a conference call with officials from both schools and the league office with student-athlete and fan safety the main concern.

Officials from both schools and the GNAC have confirmed the game will now be played during the final week of the 2018-19 regular season on Tuesday, February 26 at 7 pm on the Simon Fraser University campus in West Gym.

Whatcom Community College canceled both the men's women's home games versus Everett CC on Saturday 2/9. No rescheduled dates have been announced.

Bellingham United FC

Saturday's Washington Indoor Soccer League semifinal match between Bellingham United FC and Tacoma Narrows FC at the Bellingham Sportsplex has been postponed by a week. The semi-finals will now be played on 2/16 and the finals on 2/23.

We will continue to update this list as more information comes in.
