Bells fall to Bend in Extra Innings

June 13, 2018

The Bellingham Bells opened up their 3-game West Coast League road series versus Bend with a tough extra-innings loss Tuesday. John Arndorfer RBI's double in the bottom of the 10th led the Elks past the Bells 7-6.

Highlights for Bellingham, who left 8 runners on base, include a home run from shortstop Ernie Yake and a  2 hit, 3-RBI night for catcher Matt James.

Reliever Coen Wynne got the victory for Bend, striking out the only two batters he faced. Trevor Delaite suffers the loss on the mound for Bellingham.

The two teams go at it again tonight at Vince Genna Stadium. Nick Nastrini is scheduled to start for the Bells. Daniel Naughton is expected to get the call for the Elks. First pitch is at 6:35pm.
