State Soccer: Season Ends for Squalicum Boys

May 16, 2019 

The season came to an end Wednesday night for the Squalicum boys soccer team. The Storm lost 3-0 in their 3A State opener versus Lakeside at Interbay Stadium in Seattle. 

Joe-Joe Richardson scored two goals to lead the Lions to victory and improve their record to 14-0-5. Lakeside will play Stadium on Friday in the quarterfinals. 

 

Squalicum was held without a goal for the first time this season. The Storm finish the season with a record of 13-3-4. 

 

 

The Sehome boys soccer team will be back in 2A state tournament action Saturday. After winning their round of 16 opener 3-1 over Port Angeles Tuesday, the Mariners learned who their next opponent would be Wednesday night. 

 

Sehome will play Woodland at Western Washington University. Woodland advanced to the second round of state with a 3-2 win over Sequim at Peninsula College. 

Saturday's quarterfinal match gets underway at 1:00pm.
