All-NWC: Sehome & Meridian Top Soccer Squads

Sehome and Meridian High School players nabbed the top honors on the All-Northwest Conference soccer teams. Mariners goalkeeper Mason Kealy and defender Skyler Weight were named C0-Defensive MVP's. Trojans forward Kevin Galiano is the Offensive MVP. The squads, compiled by vote of the NWC coaches, was announced earlier this week.
Both teams added 2 players each to the first team. Sehome, the 2019 2A state champions, are represented by midfielder Jack Miller and forward Morgan Antico. Meridian placed goalkeeper Sulivan Klyn and Carlos Padilla Solis on the first squad.
Meridian's Joe Spencer and Lynden's Drew Smiley were named Co-Coaches of the Year. Spencer led the Trojans to 1A districts with a record of 10-8-2. Smiley guided the Lions a district tournament appearance with a mark of 11-5-2.
Bellingham tied with Sehome for the most players on the combined first and second teams with a total of four players selected.
