March 24, 2018

Despite a second-half rally, Bellingham United FC came up short 6-to-3 to the Tulsa Tornadoes in the championship match of the Premier Arena Soccer League national tournament Saturday. The Hammers finish second overall in the two-day tourney in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

BUFC went down 4-0 in the first half and narrowed the lead to 5-to-3 late in the second half before Tulsa added an insurance goal in the final seconds.

Nick Cashmere, Ivan Colin and Noe Betancourt Cruz each tallied goals for the Hammers.

Bellingham United went 4-and-1 during the tournament, winning two matches on shootouts. The Hammers finished 3rd in the PASL national tournament in 2017.
