Lynden's Abitia named WIAA Athlete of the Week

Lynden Lions baseball player Trevor Abitia has been named as an Athlete of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. The senior centerfielder shares in the week 28 WIAA honors with 10 other student-athletes throughout the state.
Abitia posted three singles, three doubles, a grand slam, and 12 RBI's last week vs. Kingston, Ferndale, and Cedarcrest. Lynden went 2-for-3 in the win column, losing only to Cedarcrest.
Lynden is 4-and-1 on the year. They host Meridian on Friday in the conference opener. You can hear the Lynden at Squalicum game from Joe Martin Field March 26th on The Doug Lange Network at www.OnTheDLN.com. Coverage begins at 4:15pm.
