Loaded Lynden Invite Tourney Tips Today

Whatcom County prep basketball fans are in for a treat this weekend. Top players and top teams are heading our way for the Cloud 9 Sports Lynden Invite Tournament. 

Beginning today 64 teams are slated to hit the hardwood through five different Gymnasiums in Lynden. Games will be played in 4 gyms at Lynden Christian and Lynden High School as well as the Ridenour Athletic Center. 

Games will feature a number of varsity, junior varsity and C level teams from the Northwest Conference and from elsewhere around the state on both the boys and girls side.

The highlighted match-ups include games between Lynden Christian and Kittitas and Lynden versus Selah, back to back Saturday night at 6pm and 7pm at Lynden High School.  

The LC/Kittitas game features the 1A state champion Lyncs battling the 2B champs in the Coyotes. It will also match-up Cole Bajema, the 1A State Player of the Year versus Brock Ravet, the Gonzaga-bound, 2B State Player of the Year. 

The Lynden/Selah game feature the 2A state champion Lions taking on the 4th place Vikings. Selah guard Elijah Pepper was he 2A State player of the Year. 

"If you love hoops why wouldn't you want to watch that?"said Lynden Christian boys basketball coach, Cloud 9 Sports owner and tournament organizer Roger DeBoer. "There's a lot of marquee kids and a lot of of fun games to watch, but those two games in particular are going to be kind of our marquee games."
