WCC's Bayne & Lane Shine in NWAC All-Star Game

March 18, 2019 

Whatcom Community College sophomores Tevin Bayne and Trazil Lane helped lead the North-South squad to victory in the Northwest Athletic Conference men's All-Star Game this weekend. The two starters combined for 31 points in a 129-125 victory over the East-West team Sunday at Everett Community College. 

Bayne turned in a 19 points, 5 rebound performance while adding 2 assists and 1 steal. Lane scored 12 points with 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocked shots.  

Allison Hadaway represented the Orcas in the women's all star game. The sophomore scored 4 points and added 5 rebounds and 1 assist in 14 minutes of play. The East-West squad defeated Hadaway and the North-South team 110-to-89.

 

The NWAC championship games were also played on Sunday.  Wenatchee Valley beat the Umpqua Riverhawks 74-70 in the women's title game. The  North Idaho Cardinals took home their second straight men's championship with a 104-73 win over the Walla Walla Warriors.
