Austin Shenton named to C-USA 2nd Team

Former Bellingham High School and Bellingham Bells baseball standout Austin Shenton has been named to the All-Conference USA second team. Shenton was one of five Florida International University players honored on conference squads announced earlier this week.
The Bellevue College transfer topped FIU in hitting at .348 with nine home runs and 27 RBI's. Shenton leads the Panthers with 47 runs scored, 71 hits, 11 doubles, and 109 total bases. The sophomore third baseman slugged .534 and has a .422 on-base percentage.
Florida International (26-27) lost to Florida Atlantic 7-4 Wednesday night in the opening round of the Conference USA tournament.
