Bells Win on Mack RBI Single in Extras

June 8, 2018

The Bellingham Bells wrapped up their 4-game homestand with an extra innings victory over the Corvallis Knight Thursday night. Right fielder Connor Mack supplied the game winner with a bases loaded RBI single in the bottom of the 11th inning.

Mack's single was one of the just three hits for the Bells (4-2) who did draw 10 walks versus 5 Corvallis pitchers.

Bellingham's pitching was outstanding. Nick Hull, Nick Nastrini and Taylor Davis combined to hold Corvallis (1-1) to just 1 hit, while striking out 11 batters and walking just one. Davis pitched the final two innings to pick up the win.

It was the second straight extra innings affair for the Bells. Bellingham fell to Walla Walla 5-1 in 13 innings Wednesday at Joe Martin Field.

Bellingham hits the road next, opening a three-game series at Port Angeles Friday. First pitch at Civic Stadium is scheduled for 6:35pm.
