LC's Grace Sterk Commits to Seattle Pacific University

March 11, 2019

Grace Sterk is going from a Lync to a Falcon. According to Lynden Christian head coach Brady Bomber the senior has commited to play for Seattle Pacific Univeristy.

Sterk, a 6-foot forward, averaged 14 points and 5 rebounds per game this season as the Lyncs finished with a record of 23-and-4. She was named All Northwest Conference first team.  Sterk helped the Lyncs to a 2nd place finish at 1A state and was named All-Tournament second team for her performance in Yakima.

Bomber called Sterk the ultimate teammate.

"She is as unselfish as any player that we have had play for us. She leads by example and encourages her teammates to be their best as well," said Bomber.

Sterk is joining a Seattle Pacific University squad that went 8-19 overall last year and finished 8th in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a 7-and-13 mark.

"SPU is getting a young lady of high character who is an extremely hard worker. Grace can score the basketball from anywhere on the floor and has the ability to defend multiple positions," said Bomber. "We will miss having her wear the blue and white, but could not be more excited to watch and support her in the next step of her journey."
