Playoff Day for Bellingham United FC

July 22, 2018

Bellingham United FC is looking to ride a late season push into a postseason victory today in the Evergreen Premier League Washington playoffs. The Hammers are in Puyallup to take on Washington Premier in the EPLWA semifinals.

BUFC (5-4-1) won five of their last 6 matches to reach the playoffs as the wildcard team. They will take on a 9-and-1 Washington Premier squad that hasn't lost since June 17th.

Will the third time be a charm for Bellingham United?

The two teams are meeting for the third time this season. Washington Premier won 3-1 in Bellingham May 20th and 2-1 in Puyallup July 15th.

Bellingham will have to try to contain the EPLWA's top scorer in Brandon Madsen who has found the back of the net 10 times this season.

Tonight's match gets underway at 6:30pm at the Washington Premier Football Club Field. The winner moves on to the league finals to battle the Seattle Stars, who beat the Spokane Shadow 4-1 Saturday.
