Prep Baseball Begins this Weekend

The 2018 spring prep sports season is upon us. Baseball action for five Northwest Conference teams begins Saturday.

 

Lynden, last year's NWC champions, open up their season at home versus Kingston at noon. In other 2A action Anacortes, Burlington and Sehome all play doubleheaders. The Seahawks host W.F. West at 11:00am and Archbishop Murphy at 1:30pm. The Tigers hosts the same two teams (Archbishop Murphy 11am & W.F.West 1:30pm) at Daniels Field.   The Mariners are on the rod to play Selah at 12:00pm and East Valley of Yakima at 3:30pm. 

Lynden Christian is the the lone 1A squad out of the Northwest Conference in action Saturday. The Lyncs are at Coupeville at 3:00pm. The Friday Harbor at Mount Baker game originally scheduled for noon on Saturday has been postponed. A make-up date has not yet been announced. 

Six other NWC schools will start their seasons on Monday. Sedro-Woolley is at Lakewood at 4:00pm. there's a doubleheader at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham Monday. Squalicum plays host to Meridian in the first game at 4:30pm followed by Nooksack Valley at Bellingham at 7:00pm in the nightcap.
