Mt. Baker Opens Busy Playoff Week Tonight

Week 10 of the prep football season begins early in Whatcom County. The Mount Baker will kick-off the postseason for 8 local teams Tuesday.
The Mountaineers (5-4) are in Granite Falls to play the Tigers in a play-in/loser out game in the 1A districts. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm.
The winner moves on to a Saturday game versus Cedar Park Christian.
Elsewhere in 1A loser out/winner to state, district play Meridian (6-3) squares off with South Whidbey Friday at 7pm at Anacortes High School. The Lynden Christian Lyncs (7-2) are on the road versus Kings at 7pm.
In the 2A's, Lynden (8-0) plays Blaine (5-4) at Civic Stadium Friday at 7:00pm. Sehome (6-3) will also play Friday at 7pm. The Mariners will battle Archbishop Murphy on the road in a game you can hear on The Doug Lange Network.
Squalicum and Ferndale are both in action Saturday in 3A district games. The Storm (7-2) will host Central Kitsap at Civic Stadium at 7:30pm. The Golden Eagles (4-5) are on the road to take on top-ranked Eastside Catholic at 7:30pm
