Bellingham United Wins Second Straight

June 18, 2018 

Bellingham United FC picked up 3 valuable points with a road victory Saturday. The Hammers topped Yakima United 4-2 at the SOZO Sports Complex. 

George Cholewa scored two goals in the second half to lead the way for Bellingham United. His game winner came in the 72nd minute off an assist from Jared Davis. 

It was the second straight win for BUFC (2-3-1; 7 points). With 4 goals, it was also their biggest offensive performance of the year. The Hammers previously had just 5 total goals in 5 matches. 

Richard Henderson tallied the first goal for Bellingham. He converted his second penalty kick of the year in the 25th minute. Christian Rotter also scored in the first half. 

Cesar Rodriguez and Israel Gonzalez supplied the scoring for Yakima United (1-3-2; 5 points).  

Bellingham United FC is on the road again for their next match. They travel to Gordon Fields in Bremerton Saturday, June 23rd to square off with the Olympic Force at 5:00pm.
