Bellingham Slam Win Streak Comes to an End

August 12, 2018

The Bellingham Slam saw their 4-game win streak come to an end Saturday. Bellingham fell to Team Adidas 122-115 in Seattle Pro-Am action at Royal Brougham Pavilion.

It was quite a showdown between NBA stars. Chicago Bulls swingman Zach LaVine scored 56 points on 21-of-32 shooting to lead the Slam. Team Adidas was lead by NBA free agent Jamal Crawford who went for a triple-double of 38 points, 11 rebounds and 18 assists.

Team Adidas outscored Bellingham 37-to-29 in the 4th quarter. The Slam  led 91-89 with 8 minutes left. Crawford then hit a three to take the lead back and Team Adidas pulled away for the victory.

“It was unfortunate to get the loss today, but the score was almost secondary to being able to watch two greats like Zach and Jamal go head-to-head," said Slam GM & Co-Coach Kip Leonetti. "Games like this embody what the Pro-Am is all about.”

Bellingham is back in action Sunday versus the Tacoma Thunder. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:00pm.
