No. 2 Vikings Host Western Oregon and Concordia this Week

October 30, 2018

The No. 2 nationally-ranked WWU volleyball team takes its 21-match winning streak into the penultimate week of the 2018 regular season, hosting Western Oregon (Thursday) and Concordia (Saturday) in Carver Gym. Both matches hold first serve at 7 pm on WECU Court.

WWU is 21-3 overall and in first place in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a perfect 16-0 record. After dropping the first three matches of the 2018 season to ranked opponents, the Vikings have rattled off 21 consecutive victories. The Vikings Swept Western Oregon (25-12, 25-15, 25-17) on Oct. 6 in Monmouth. WWU leads the all-time series vs. the Wolves 38-14, including a current 11-match winning streak and won 18 of the last 19.

Western also swept Concordia (25-8, 25-10, 25-14) on Oct. 4 in Portland. WWU is a perfect 11-0 all-time vs. the Cavaliers with a 7-0 record since Concordia joined the GNAC (all sweeps).
