8-Run 4th Inning leads Bells over Bend

The Bellingham Bells capitalized on an 8-run 4th inning explosion to win their three-game road series versus Bend. Bellingham beat the Elks 12-7 Thursday night at Vince Genna Stadium.
The Bells trailed 3-1 heading into the top of the 4th inning. They proceeded to tally 8 runs on 8 hits, punctuated by a 2 RBI single off the bat of Griffin McCormick.

The Bells pounded out 13 hits on the night. Jordan Stoner went 3-for-4 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Connor Mack also came up big for Bellingham going 2-for-4 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored.
Marcos Cuenca (1-1 2.25 ERA) come on in middle relief to pick up the win. Justin Armbruester struck out 7 batters over 3 and 2/3's innings worth of work to notch his first save.
RJ Robles (0-2; 7.31 ERA) got the loss for Bend as the Elks drop to 3-9 on the year.
Bellingham, at 7-5 and in first place in the WCL North Division, returns home to Joe Martin Field Friday to start a 3-game series versus the Portland Pickles. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm.
