BELLINGHAM, Wash – Western Washington University junior forward Trevor Jasinsky and senior guard/forward Siaan Rojas have been voted as unanimous selections to the 2018-19 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team.

In a vote of the GNAC’s 11 head coaches, Jasinsky and Rojas were unanimous selections to the 15-player team. The balanced team features selections from all 11 teams in the conference, with WWU, Saint Martin’s, Seattle Pacific and Northwest Nazarene each garnering two selections.

WWU returns five letterwinners from last year’s squad that finished 21-8 overall and 16-4 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Over the last two seasons, WWU has combined for a 46-14 record and carries a streak of 11 consecutive winning seasons into the 2018-19 campaign.

The GNAC is scheduled to announce the 2018-19 Women’s Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team tomorrow, followed by the preseason coaches polls for the men (Tuesday, Oct. 23) and women (Wednesday, Oct. 24) next week.

Following exhibition games vs. the Whatcom Slam (Sat., Oct. 27, 2 pm) and the Seattle Mountaineers (Tue., Oct. 30, 7 pm), the Vikings officially open the season Nov. 9-10 traveling to play a pair of games in the CCAA/GNAC Challenge against Cal State Dominguez Hills and tournament host UC San Diego.
