Bells Open WCL Season at Kelowna

May 31, 2018

The Bellingham Bells open the West Coast League season on the road. Bellingham plays a three game series versus the Kelowna Falcons at Elks Stadium in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Kelowna went 28-and-26 overall last season, before losing to the Victoria Harbourcats in the playoffs.

Bellingham is coming off a 31-and-23 campaign in 2017, just missing out on the postseason.

Former Victoria head coach Bob Miller is the new head coach/manager for Bellingham. He told The Doug Lange Network he doesn't know much about the Harbourcats as the 2018 season gets underway. He is familiar with Elks Stadium and how it plays differently than Joe Martin Field.

"Having been to Kelowna we know it's an offensive ballpark, different from what we have here," said Miller. "It's a natural surface there, it's a hard surface so balls get through and your infielders get challenged for sure."

Schedule
6/1/18 - Bellingham at Kelowna 6:35pm
6/2/18 - Bellingham at Kelowna 6:35pm
6/3/18 - Bellingham at Kelowna 6:05pm

The Bells play their home opener at Joe Martin Field Monday, June 4th vs. Walla Walla. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm.
