WCC's Grant Balvanz off to Multnomah

Whatcom Community College guard Grant Balvanz is heading to the Cascade Collegiate Conference off the NAIA. The former Mount Baker High School star has signed a letter of intent to attend Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon next year.
Balvanz started all 28 Orca games during his sophomore campaign helping the squad reach the Elite Eight round of the Northwest Athletic Conference playoffs. He averaged 12.3 point per game and shot 43% from 3-point range during the season.
Balvanz earned All- Northwest Conference first team honors as a senior at Mount Baker High School. He was named to the second team in his junior campaign for the Mountaineers.
The 6-foot, 1-inch guard joins a Multnomah squad that went 15-and-15 last season. The Lions finished tied for 8th in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with a 6-and-12 mark.
