Sehome's Shane Lynette Honored by WIAA

Fresh off a state championship, Sehome's Shane Lynette has been named a Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Athlete of the Week. The senior tennis standout was honored along with 13 others by the WIAA Wednesday.
Lynette won the boys 2A single championship Saturday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle on Saturday. He downed Josh Chou of Sammamish in 6-2, 6-3 in the final. Lynette did not drop a set at state, losing a total of just 15 games.

The 3-time Northwest Conference MVP won the title after falling in the championship match to Colton Smith of Tumwater last year in straight sets.
