ALL-NWC: Sehome's Kaepernick is Pitcher of the Year

Sehome pitcher Jacob Kaepernick leads a group of 13 Whatcom County baseball players named to the All Northwest Conference Teams. In voting by NWC coaches, the sophomore was named Pitcher of the Year.
Kaepernick with 9-3 with a 0.67 ERA (stats courtesy of WhatcomPreps.com) to help lead the Mariners all the way to the 2A final four in Yakima this past weekend. Sehome placed 4th at state with a record of 18-and-11.
Pitcher/shortstop Ty Saunders of Anacortes was named the NWC MVP and Rob Davie of Sedro-Woolley earned Coach of the Year honors.
The Cubs led the way with 4 players named to the two all conference squads. Sehome, Lynden, Burlington and Anacortes each placed 3 players on the teams.
